Y'all the excitement level at our house is through the roof! Fresno State Bulldog Football starts up TOMORROW! This season we have SEVEN home games and we play some great schools. Tomorrow night we take on Cincinnati. I am hoping we can pull off a win and that there is a great crowd there to support the Dogs either way. Football Season actually started a little while back at our house. #21 for Fresno State, Ryan Mathews was drafted first round (12th pick) to play (START actually) for the San Diego Chargers. This makes us happy for a number of reasons, but we are so happy that he'll be playing in California! Hubs has never really followed a specific NFL team, he just usually follows players that have played for Fresno State. This year we have a lot of guys playing NFL and I'm having a hard time keeping up! He has played a bit already in the preseason games and he's looking great. Do you know what happens in less than one month? We couldn't be more excited to kick off the 2010 Season of College Football ! Hubs has a countdown counter on his phone and reminds me often how ready he is. We got our same season tickets again this year and we are THRILLED our friends Brandon & Jacqualine got the seats right next to us! There has been much controversy over our head coach. He's signed another 3 year contract and I think some were hoping he would leave. While he's never won us the WAC title or even had a real winning season, I think he runs a great program. I hate to see us loose a game, but I like that our athletes are really mentored by this guy. Many of the players really respect and admire him and I think that's important. Of course, at the end of the day... I wouldn't mind wining a few or ALL the games either! :) We have a tough season this year. This post is a few days late, but I wanted to share the pics. Hubs and I follow all things Fresno State (as you have probably noticed if you have read this blog for any amount of time). I get emails weekly with what home games there are coming up and how much tickets are and of course they will try and get you to come by telling you the teams record or that there's "history to be made" etc. Hubs gets all FSU updates on his phone. He can tell you how the swimming team or tennis team is doing at any given time, so whether or not we attend all the games, we know how the teams are doing. That being said... Last Wednesday night our girls basketball team played their last conference game of the season at home & there was history made!
