jill's wedding.


jill got married the first weekend of september and it was the party of the year! we had a great time laughing and dancing and celebrating her day!
this photo takes me back to the good ole' days. jill and i met in pre-school and she and i met brittany in junior high and we've been the three musketeers ever since!
the crazy thing... b just had a baby three months before this photo and looks this good! don't you just wanna kick her?

being new home owners there are always "projects" to be done. the past few weekends as the weather has been getting nicer those projects have been outdoors. ryan usually digging, planting, pulling, weeding, mowing or sweeping and me... well, i photograph it all. it's the part i enjoy. and this last weekend as i felt i should get dirty and dig a little he consistently asked me " you want me to do that?" so i'm guessing i either looked way out of my element or i wasn't doing it "right". i'll stick to the photographs or maybe i'll sleep in next time. :) i enjoy my role. our herbs are begining to sprout this week. we're still debating on the garden. we were all go this weekend and then stopped to figure out how to get rid of the grass that is where we want the garden. when we couldn't come up with a "simple solution" we opted out of the garden and bought flowers for the front yard. now i think we have a solution so we migh...

New Blog Design

Do you like it? Mariah had a giveaway on her blog awhile back awarding someone a new blog design and button and I actually won! At the time I had no clue what I actually wanted and was in the midst of a photography class and didn't really have the time to spend figuring it out. Well, she was patient with me and even let me take the photos for my header and she put them all together to make them look GREAT! Thanks again Mariah , I love it. My poor husband has had a rough few weeks so I thought I'd send him a bit of encouragement via our blog. What makes me ♥ love ♥ MY Love: His willingness to help an old lady load her car in the grocery store parking lot His humor The animal lover in him The way still sticks out his lower lip when he's bummed about something That he can BBQ a tri tip steak like it's nobody's business. That he notices when I clean house He's HOT! How he calls his family often just because That he does all the vacuuming at our house That he reads the blogs I write and will compliment me on them That he rolls his eyes when I turn on HGTV, but when I'm not in the room he'll turn to it That he'll walk up to a service man or woman in uniform in public & shake their hand & thank them for their service.
