We've been to two weddings in the last 3 weeks. I thought I'd share a bit about them with you. The first wedding was for my TWO friends Jacob & Stephanie. A little back story for you, there is a little camp up in the Santa Cruz Mts . where I was a High School camper, a Jr High & High school counselor and where I worked for 4 summers and eventually moved up there for a year to work year around before I felt called back home. I have made many life long friends there over the years. It's a place of fun, fellowship, faith, healing, joy & many many memories. Years ago I met a guy named Jacob there. I was a counselor and he was a senior camper. He was the funny guy, the heart throb & the jokester . One the Midnight hike up the hill he gathered the glow sticks from the trees {the ones lighting the path for all the others} as he walked and we had kids and counselors lost in the woods in the dark for many hours. today is sept 24. the first official day of fall was two days ago. i should be breaking out the long sleeves, close toed shoes, scarves, hot chocolate, blankets, sweatshirts etc. i should be snapping pictures on the side of the road of these leaves. i should be able to head to the park to gaze at the beautiful colors. instead i'm turning down the air, wearing tank tops, staying indoors so not to have heat stroke, and hydrating myself regularly. it's still hot, it's still sunny, and i'm just plain sick of it. i just can't put out my pumpkins and scarecrows and fall wreaths when i'm sweating profusely . i just can't. so until that forecast changes a bit, it's still summer here to me. regardless of what the calendar says. my seasons are dictated my the thermometer these days. we're supposed to have an " el nino " year this year which means LOTS of rain. we'll see if that happens. we sure need it. big things are happening around her...

steven and julie got married on sunday, august 2nd and we had the rehearsal/dinner on thursday night, july30th. there were so many pictures from both events that i'm doing separate posts. this is the classic, bride, mom-in-law, wedding planner meeting prior to rehearsal. it's like the gathering of the minds. you have to get on the same page before the process can begin and run smoothly. this little cutie pie, mason, is julie's nephew. as you can see he was the ring bearer aka "ring security" as his shirt states. he stole the show, both nights! father daughter walk down the isle. they are so cute. pastor jeff had to remind steven that these vows are to be taken seriously (if you know steven he is quite fun and isn't often serious unless he has to be). he was still glowing all night about the fact that julie was about to be his bride! the bride and groom at dinner. macaroni grill, yum yum! i ate so much! buddies for years and years. it makes me happy to see the...
