Fathers Day 2010

Image
I took pictures on Fathers Day with Ryan's family (because of the cute baby you know) but didn't get a single photo with my family. I know a huge part of that was that I was eating the ENTIRE time we were there, but still. I feel bad. This was my brother in law's first Fathers Day. I took this photo on Mother's Day actually. Carsyn's Nana found a beach ball at the dollar store and blew it up for him. Holy smokes was that the hit of the day! He was squealing and having a grand ole time with that thing. Do you think his parents would notice if I just took him? He's so stinkin' cute! I'm not sure why Oz wasn't in this photo but we had Brad (FIL) with his son and grandson. This picture just warms my whole heart. Do they love each other or what? Tender moment for Baby Carsyn & his Papaw.

Last Monday was a holiday around here. Hubs and I were both off for President's Day. It also happened to be the day after Valentine's Day and Hubs sister and her husband had asked if we'd watch the little man for a few hours while they had a fun date. I joyfully agreed, and I actually suggested activities that would take a bit longer than just a a "few" hours. It was our first time to have him by ourselves, and the first time I've ever really been around him without Mom or Nana around. Not that I care if they're there because I can hog him regardless... but I always know that they love him too, so I try and share. Not this time! He was all mine! It was great to see hubs with him too. Without a million women telling him how to hold him and what to do. Hubs changed his first diaper EVER, and it was a doozy, let me tell you! You can't tell me that little face doesn't just light up your life!? He is really into the ABC song right now, the more animated...

Baptism

This last Sunday, on Valentine's Day, our nephew was baptized. He was so good and quiet and sweet through the whole service. Hubs was asked/honored to be his Godfather and aside from the fact that this picture caught him mid blink, you can tell he couldn't be more proud. Here's hubs with Jesse, Godmother {Oz' cousin}, and the baby! They all looked so nice! Jesse is actually pregnant with her first little bundle of joy. I can't wait to meet that baby! This is one proud Aunt & Uncle right here. Me with both my Valentine's. I just love that kid. Here's four generations. He seems pretty happy to be apart of that group, kid doesn't know what he has comin '! :) ha. Here is the whole Fernandes gang. Carsyn was baptized along with John {the little guy on grandma's lap in the front}. The two sitting down in front are Oz' parents and then L to R Oz, Carsyn , Kate, Mark {Oz' younger brother}, Christen {Oz' sis in law}, baby Adam {Adam ...

Baby's First Super Bowl

Image
You can't tell me this little guy isn't the cutest Dolphins fan you've ever seen. Someone {his father} mis -informed him about what the Super Bowl is and how long it's been since the Dolphins were a part of it. He was a little giggly with me all day. I loved every second of it. Hubs did a great job of capturing his grin. He got so wound up! I love it. He drooling a ton right now, I think he might start cutting some teeth soon. These two boys have every little piece of my heart. I'm so excited to see him again this weekend. We're keeping him for awhile on Monday so that his Mama & Daddy can go on a Valentine's date. I assure you there will be more photos of him then!

Christmas Recap 09. Finally.

Image
Christmas tends to be a whirl wind of family functions for us, this year was no different. This will be the longest blog post you've ever read in your life, so maybe get comfy, grab some coffee or tea and relax. This could take awhile. Christmas Eve started at 2pm at our house with just my parents and sisters for our little gift exchange. My dad decided the few weeks before Christmas to see if he could still grow a beard and I think he looked like Kris Kringle! Hubs and I opening gifts. Hubs got a nice picture of Dodger stadium for his office. I think one of his favorite gifts. My sister and her "friend" Mike. We got my dad the poster of the "creation of Adam" for his office. I got a pair of jeans from Gap. When you're six foot tall jeans are HARD to come by, especially jeans that aren't over a hundred dollars which I'm NOT willing to spend. I was a bit excited to say the least. Then we all made our way to my grandparents house for Christmas Eve...

Week prior to Christmas 09.

So, I realize that Christmas and New Years are long gone, however I still have a LOT of pictures to show y'all so bare with me this week while I catch you up. So the Friday before Christmas we had some friends over for a cookie exchange. It was the first one we've ever held and I think we'll start making it an annual event. It was fun, and YUMMY! I can't wait to get the recipes to some of these. Everyone brought roughly three dozen cookies and then we munched on them that evening while drinking coffee and cider and then everyone took an assortment home in a large ziplock. I ate more cookies than I should have, that's for sure. I'm not sure why I took pictures of all the cookies, but none of the friends that were there. I took pictures on New Years that you'll see soon and it was some of the same people! :) The week of Christmas I had some more baking I wanted to do to take to our various Christmas funtions and to give to the neighbors etc, so I called in m...
