Cafe de Valentine

My sweet boy had quite the fall already! We visited the pumpkin patch, took pictures IN a pumpkin and of course had to dress up as a Bear for Bear's first Halloween. My cute little Bear was not a huge fan of his costume. Part of the problem was the fact that it's really warm & cozy and it was 82 degrees on Halloween. Another issue was the fact that there were about 12 cameras flashing at him the second I got him in the costume. He did love the pumpkin patch! This photo was taken with our iphone so it's not the best quality. I had seen on Pintrest a cute picture of a baby sitting in a pumpkin and I knew this was the only Halloween that he would fit, so we had to do it. We may have spent a small fortune on a pumpkin big enough to fit our chubby boy & his thighs! :) They seriously made for the cutest photos though! I'm so glad we did it! We had a great first Halloween with our little man and we can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. The holiday...

the photo above is week 14, no new symptoms to speak of. I got a bit behind on updates with the holidays. Then week 15, I look at these and sometimes feel like I get smaller one week to the next. I think some photos I suck in my gut a bit. Week 16 photo. This was a day or two after Christmas and I was exhausted. The holidays totally wore me out. This is the current photo, week 17! I can't believe we're almost half way there! New Year this year was a bit emotional for me knowing we'll have a baby this year. We also had our monthly appointment this last week and scheduled the 18 week ultrasound for THIS Thursday, Jan 6th. We are hoping that the bean is healthy and growing on schedule. We are also hoping the bean cooperates for us to find out if it's a girl bean or a boy bean. We have a gender reveal party scheduled for Friday night. we've had a few things this week so i figured i'd share. we bought ourselves a set a bikes last weekend to attempt to find a "hobby" that we could do together and maybe get into shape in the process. {ignore the messy garage, we're still in the midst of projects when our garage temp isn't 165 degrees} we've been riding a bit each night and so far it's kind of fun. thursday morning ryan didn't have to work and i didn't have to be in until 930 so we got up at 7am and started the coffee {so it would be ready when we returned}, filled the waterbottles, and headed out. we rode to my parents and back which is over 3 miles one way so i round up and say we rode 8 miles. {exaggeration is an art that i, personally, have perfected} thurs, july 3rd was ozzie's birthday, so we headed down to hanford after work for some BBQ and gynormous cupcakes! here's a picture of kate and oz {can you see her baby bump?} we can't wai to meet our nephew in Nov...

this weekend is the fouth of july. that means a few things for us. freedom. and the thankfulness for that. pride. for God and country and to be a part of both. it also means fun! fireworks. friends. bbq's. warm weather. three day weekend. family. homemade ice cream. i can't wait. it's going to be a great time! we'll be bbq'ing at our house in the afternoon/evening with friends and then heading to reedley fireworks show with my WHOLE family to watch my 92 year old uncle put on the show. he's done it every year and this is the first year ry and i will see it together. it will be great, and i hope to have photos to share. happy fourth.
