Fan Pages

Image
For those of you on Facebook, you know that businesses can have Fan Pages where people can "like" the business and leave comments of praise and thanksgiving. Well, I wonder if businesses realize that people can leave their beef there too? We bought a new car THREE weeks ago and we had a the best experience. We had been doing the research wanting to cut our payments down a bit and really wanting to get something that was a bit more fuel efficient {since gas prices are still climbing and we both have a commute to work}. We had done our homework and knew what we wanted but were not looking forward to dealing with car salesmen. They are my least favorite. I really hate the process of negotiating, trading in, signing a million documents, etc. We did hear that Costco has a car buying program through certain dealership and that you can get a discount {a pretty good one too} if you call their 800 number first and get a person to contact. We did all that and we were actually put in co

Reading List

If you're anything like me, you hear about books or see books lying around someones house and they catch your eye or attention. If you're like me you have a laundry list of books you'd love to read if you had the time to sit down or the money to go buy them all. I have borrowed a few lately and I got one for CHRISTMAS that I'm now almost done with and I have decided that over the next few weeks (before fall tv starts up again) I would love to get some reading time in. My current reading list: Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom. I have read his books "Tuesdays with Morrie" & "The Five People You'll Meet in Heaven" and I've loved them. I'm almost done with this book and I think it's fabulous. Captivating by John & Staci Eldridge. I read "Wild at Heart" by John Eldridge numerous times when I was dating/engaged as a glimpse into the heart of a man. I plan to read it again if I ever become the Mother to a little boy. Fa

veggies, no thank you!

The only thing that can make my darling nephew go from this cute little smiley thing... To this.... Veggies! Peas to be exact. He's not a fan at all, and Nana was convinced she could make it "fun" and he would eat them. :) Auntie Lissa was just gonna take pictures! His Mama said last night that he will eat veggies now, but not the baby food kind (which she doesn't blame him, because they taste gross!) he will eat it like she makes it for them and just cuts it up tiny for him. I can't wait till he starts dating and I can show his date these faces! I know, I'm so mean!

T- 30 Days

Do you know what happens in less than one month? We couldn't be more excited to kick off the 2010 Season of College Football ! Hubs has a countdown counter on his phone and reminds me often how ready he is. We got our same season tickets again this year and we are THRILLED our friends Brandon & Jacqualine got the seats right next to us! There has been much controversy over our head coach. He's signed another 3 year contract and I think some were hoping he would leave. While he's never won us the WAC title or even had a real winning season, I think he runs a great program. I hate to see us loose a game, but I like that our athletes are really mentored by this guy. Many of the players really respect and admire him and I think that's important. Of course, at the end of the day... I wouldn't mind wining a few or ALL the games either! :) We have a tough season this year. Seven home games (which is more than we've ever gone to in one season) and a chance to d

A Review of Sorts

This weekend I had a few chores needed to be done and one of them was cleaning the stove. I HATE cleaning the stove. We have a white oven/range & everything we cook on it splatters somehow and it NEVER looks clean no matter how long and hard I scrub. I have stains and spots on there that have been there since we moved in a year and half ago. I have heard great things about Mr Clean Magic Eraser, but never tried it. I finally grabbed a box at Wal Mart and the angles were singing! Y'all, my stove is cleaner than it has ever been! I used little to no elbow grease & it seriously took me all of 10 min to clean the WHOLE thing. I am in no way shape or form being paid for this post. Mr Clean & his people have no idea who I am or that I no have a clean stove... I just had to share. I would assume this is going to work just as well on any color cook top. Don't waste another minute dreading cleaning your stove or scrubbing it for hours on end... seriously go get you one... NO
