Fathers Day 2010

I took pictures on Fathers Day with Ryan's family (because of the cute baby you know) but didn't get a single photo with my family. I know a huge part of that was that I was eating the ENTIRE time we were there, but still. I feel bad.

This was my brother in law's first Fathers Day. I took this photo on Mother's Day actually.

Carsyn's Nana found a beach ball at the dollar store and blew it up for him. Holy smokes was that the hit of the day! He was squealing and having a grand ole time with that thing.
Do you think his parents would notice if I just took him? He's so stinkin' cute!
I'm not sure why Oz wasn't in this photo but we had Brad (FIL) with his son and grandson.
This picture just warms my whole heart. Do they love each other or what? Tender moment for Baby Carsyn & his Papaw.

being new home owners there are always "projects" to be done. the past few weekends as the weather has been getting nicer those projects have been outdoors. ryan usually digging, planting, pulling, weeding, mowing or sweeping and me... well, i photograph it all. it's the part i enjoy. and this last weekend as i felt i should get dirty and dig a little he consistently asked me " you want me to do that?" so i'm guessing i either looked way out of my element or i wasn't doing it "right". i'll stick to the photographs or maybe i'll sleep in next time. :) i enjoy my role. our herbs are begining to sprout this week. we're still debating on the garden. we were all go this weekend and then stopped to figure out how to get rid of the grass that is where we want the garden. when we couldn't come up with a "simple solution" we opted out of the garden and bought flowers for the front yard. now i think we have a solution so we migh

Tales From the Gym

That's one weird blog title, so let me fill you in... I started the Couch to 5K running program awhile back, remember? Well, I sucked at it. I can't run. It worked me to death and it never got easier. The whole push yourself each time and it will get easier and then you'll increase your running increments until you build up your stamina... yea none of that happened. I did week one like 8 times and I still wanted to die. The thought of increasing my running time made me want to stab myself in my eye. Not to mention that I'm apparently some sort of 29 year old going on 60 because OH.MY.JOINTS! My hips, my knees & my ankles cursed me daily. I loved the way I felt when I was done, but it was the getting there that just about killed me. So one day we didn't run and you know how that goes... one day turned into two months and then it wasn't spoke of again. Hubs and I had to sit down and have a heart to heart one day about getting into shape. We both needed it BAD.
