Love Letter/Poem

When hubs and I got married he started a tradition on Valentine's Day each year... he writes me a poem. They aren't fancy or professional, but they are loving and from the heart and I think I've cried every single year. A few weeks ago while sorting through keepsakes I found the one from last year and it kind of reminded him of his little tradition. The next day he came home with this sweet thing. Don't worry... I cried.

We’ve been married for four years,
The best years of my life.

But our lives will soon change,
As God formed a new life.

Our Unborn Baby that’s growing
In your Womb.

The best years of our lives,
Have only started to Bloom.

Our Love will grow stronger,
Each Day that moves on.

Rocking our baby,
From morning till dawn.

I Pray and I Pray,
I’m able to Provide

But realize I will always be able,
With God as my Guide.

I’m Excited to see our years as they unfold,
Looking towards God to help Shape and help Mold.

Our Little Baby God’s Formed in His Hands,
Creating New Life forever changing Our Plans.

But I would not have it any other way,
With you as my wife and having one on the way.

being new home owners there are always "projects" to be done. the past few weekends as the weather has been getting nicer those projects have been outdoors. ryan usually digging, planting, pulling, weeding, mowing or sweeping and me... well, i photograph it all. it's the part i enjoy. and this last weekend as i felt i should get dirty and dig a little he consistently asked me " you want me to do that?" so i'm guessing i either looked way out of my element or i wasn't doing it "right". i'll stick to the photographs or maybe i'll sleep in next time. :) i enjoy my role. our herbs are begining to sprout this week. we're still debating on the garden. we were all go this weekend and then stopped to figure out how to get rid of the grass that is where we want the garden. when we couldn't come up with a "simple solution" we opted out of the garden and bought flowers for the front yard. now i think we have a solution so we migh

Tales From the Gym

That's one weird blog title, so let me fill you in... I started the Couch to 5K running program awhile back, remember? Well, I sucked at it. I can't run. It worked me to death and it never got easier. The whole push yourself each time and it will get easier and then you'll increase your running increments until you build up your stamina... yea none of that happened. I did week one like 8 times and I still wanted to die. The thought of increasing my running time made me want to stab myself in my eye. Not to mention that I'm apparently some sort of 29 year old going on 60 because OH.MY.JOINTS! My hips, my knees & my ankles cursed me daily. I loved the way I felt when I was done, but it was the getting there that just about killed me. So one day we didn't run and you know how that goes... one day turned into two months and then it wasn't spoke of again. Hubs and I had to sit down and have a heart to heart one day about getting into shape. We both needed it BAD.
