and it begins...

so i know many people that have taken to the blogging world and each of them says the same thing when they first start, "once you create a blog everything throughout the day becomes a potential blog topic". especially for those who feel the need to blog often, you want to be sure what you post that day is worth reading. i can't tell you how many times in the last 48 hours i've said to myself "that could be a blog topic!". now really, do you all want to know how distracted i was in church last night, or how monica turned another year older yesterday (see her blog for detials on that) or how my husband and i spend our first weekend off work together and got on each others nerves within moments of waking up each day... why sure you do! if i didn't blog about these little things, i would have nothing left to blog about. so that's what you get!
r and i did have a great relaxing weekend but we did realize how different our ideas of weekends are. i will post photos tomorrow of our weekend events as i forgot to send them to this computer. all in all, it was great. first feel of fall in the air, temp below 80 degrees and even some rain!

being new home owners there are always "projects" to be done. the past few weekends as the weather has been getting nicer those projects have been outdoors. ryan usually digging, planting, pulling, weeding, mowing or sweeping and me... well, i photograph it all. it's the part i enjoy. and this last weekend as i felt i should get dirty and dig a little he consistently asked me " you want me to do that?" so i'm guessing i either looked way out of my element or i wasn't doing it "right". i'll stick to the photographs or maybe i'll sleep in next time. :) i enjoy my role. our herbs are begining to sprout this week. we're still debating on the garden. we were all go this weekend and then stopped to figure out how to get rid of the grass that is where we want the garden. when we couldn't come up with a "simple solution" we opted out of the garden and bought flowers for the front yard. now i think we have a solution so we migh

Tales From the Gym

That's one weird blog title, so let me fill you in... I started the Couch to 5K running program awhile back, remember? Well, I sucked at it. I can't run. It worked me to death and it never got easier. The whole push yourself each time and it will get easier and then you'll increase your running increments until you build up your stamina... yea none of that happened. I did week one like 8 times and I still wanted to die. The thought of increasing my running time made me want to stab myself in my eye. Not to mention that I'm apparently some sort of 29 year old going on 60 because OH.MY.JOINTS! My hips, my knees & my ankles cursed me daily. I loved the way I felt when I was done, but it was the getting there that just about killed me. So one day we didn't run and you know how that goes... one day turned into two months and then it wasn't spoke of again. Hubs and I had to sit down and have a heart to heart one day about getting into shape. We both needed it BAD.
